Bleeding Gums: When It May Be Gum Disease
Bleeding gums may signal gingivitis or periodontitis, especially when paired with tartar buildup, gum recession, bad breath, deep pockets, or loose teeth. Treatment may include improved home care, scaling and root planing, and periodontal maintenance.
